Just a quick overview for parents and students wondering what Piano Performance Classes will entail for the Fall Term.

Here is the outline for Sunday September 25:

3:00-4:00 Group: Beginner Students:

Perform for Each Other and Practice Good Performance Techniques

Listen to “The Erlking” by Schubert..a scarey (but not TOO scarey) piece of music for Hallowe’en

Hallowe’en Concert and Party Discussion

Performing together at Hallowe’en-explore some music to play as a group with sound effects

If Time:  Interval, Note identification and Rhythm clapping games in teams

4:00 -5:00 Group: Other Students:

Perform for Each Other and Practice Good Performance Techniques

Listen and analyze parts of Berlioz’s Symphonie Fantastique

Hallowe’en Concert and Party Discussion

Group Performance at the Concert

If time:  Scale Race, Ear, and rhythm Clapping Games in teams.
