Happy Halloween ...

Don’t forget to attend our Hallowe’en Concert and Party to be held on Friday October 24th from 6:30 until 8:30. p.m.  As usual, could you please provide a treat for the refreshment table?

The concert is very informal and will be held in the church sanctuary upon arrival.  Costumes are optional, but I hope most people are planning to dress up (I Am!).

Parents can stay or leave, as they wish.  Any helping hands would be welcome.

Games and food will be in the Banquet Hall after the concert and we will end the evening touring our haunted house.  It should be fun!

A few other thoughts….

All students need metronomes.  Any metronome will do, but if you haven’t purchased one yet, buy one with a movable arm.  It seems easier for children to anticipate when the beat is going to sound when they can see the arm moving rather than trying to anticipate when a light is going to flash.

Please be certain to read the PRACTICE section of your child’s (or your) notes, especially if you are not attending their lesson. I am now underlining this in red.  This is the assignment for the week.  Technique sheets are separate and must be referred to when practicing.  Also, be sure you or your child brings his/her tape to class each week plus a three ring binder or a duo tang where everything can be kept together.  Some students are arriving with BITS and PIECES missing and we can’t have that ….Even at Halloween!

See you at the party.
