Welcome to a cold winter.  This term ends on Sat. March 13.  I will be taking a 2 week break at this time.  The new term will begin on Monday March 29.

 

I have spoken to most of you about class requirements.  Everyone should have a binder with three ring paper and one divider marked “theory”.  All theory handouts and scale sheets should be filed here.  Each student should have a repertoire (song list) sheet and a technique sheet which we will change together at private lessons.

 

Please bring your assigned theory book and theory handouts given during theory classes to private lessons.  I will go over the items we covered at theory classes with each person during private lessons.

 

Please attend theory classes.  They accomplish the following:

1. Performing for each other
2. Learning theory
3. Getting to know other budding musicians
4. Having some fun…playing some games

 

Everyone should be prepared to play something during theory classes.  Please check the schedule.  If I have to change the schedule, I will e-mail you of these changes.

 

We have two more theory classes this term. 

 

Boyz will meet this Wed. Feb. 11 at 6:00-7:00 and THURS. March 11 from 6:00-7:00 (PLEASE NOTE DATE CHANGE).

 

Girlz meet Sat. Feb. 14 from 10:00-11:00 and Sat March 13 from 10:00 until 11:00 .

 

Check the Spring term schedule for further information.  I am staring a theory class for beginners.

 

Keep practicing.  Go to a music store and look at all of the music. It is inspiring.  If you choose something to play, I will help you with it.
